1. What is a certified document?
A notarized document is a certified document. It is a copy of an original document, which is notarized as a
true accurate copy of the original, by a certified notary public in your country where you reside permanently.
KJCB arranges notarizations.
2. What is a statutory declaration or affidavit?
An affidavit is a sworn statement signed by a certified notary public, government official at the local consulate
of your country or an Australian JP (Justice of Peace).
3. I am just visiting UAE, can I lodge my application here?
Yes. Provided you have all the required documents. Please note we cannot assist you with any information concerning
extending your stay in UAE during the processing of your application.
4. How long does it take for an application to be finalized?
The application processing time varies considerably depending on the visa category and your individual circumstances.
However, the following is an average time frame for certain applications:
- Skilled Category: 11 - 15 months
- Sponsored Category: 11 - 15 months
- Partner, Prospective Marriage: 6 - 9 months
- Preferential family category and aged parent category: 9 - 14 months
- Business Category: 5-8 months
- Other categories: 9 to 12 months.
These are only general guidelines and processing times vary from application to application. You should not give
up your job, sell any of your property or make any travel or other arrangements until you have been advised in
writing by our office that the application has been approved.
5. Can I travel to Australia while my application is being processed?
Yes, you can travel to Australia for a holiday/vacation while the application is being finalized. However, please
note that you will not be granted a migration visa while you are physically in Australia. You must therefore depart
from Australia to have the visa issued. Similarly you must ensure that you advise us of any change of address.
6. Why do I need a Migration agent?
Rules governing entry can be complex and confusing. You may think you meet the profile, but find that your interpretation
of certain words is not the same as the official interpretation of these words. If you are a strong applicant,
with everything else going in your favor, can you afford to run the risk?
Avoid frustration and spend your time more effectively. Some say that you can learn from the mistakes of others.
We don't agree. Don't take a chance...
7. Is it possible to apply for Migration in Australia?
There are complications, restrictions and requirements with this approach so it is important you check on your
ability to apply for residence with a local office of DIMIA in Australia before traveling to Australia.
